Yes she is an outstanding young woman. But I'd bet she would say she was only doing her job. How proud her family must be of her.As indeed is all her coworkers and America itself.

She was praised for her quick reponse by the base commander because her act prevented the loss of more lives & no more injured

Yes God gives all wowmen the power to act under duress. More so than men I think as we dont do it conscincely we just do it

Women are just as powerful, if not, more apt to act in an emergency than men are. I kept getting conflicting news on who died and who lived. First I heard the gunman was killed, then I heard he was alive, then I heard he was killed again. I got very confused until I watched Oprah and got the truth. Hats off to the gal who stopped more killing from happening. America should be so proud of her. She deserves the medal of honor.

Thanks,penwright...I agree,there were a bunch of guys getting ready to graduate,and a bunch that were lined up getting shots,so it could have been like "shooting fish in a barrel"!...if he had not been taken down!

Last I heard, the gunman was in a coma, is paralysed and on insulin. Not sure about the insulin. Does anyone have an update? The heroine was shot in the legs and was still able to shoot the gunman as she was falling to the ground. A true hero indeed. I agree that she deserves a commendation for saving more lives by stopping the gunman the only way she could.
