I can be pretty flexible with my time, but it does get busier around the holidays. Why don't you just pick out 3 dates, put them out there, and see what response you get to each date? That way we'd have something concrete to respond to and everyone could let you know which dates worked for them. You could pick the date the most people can come because it's unlikely there'd ever be a date that worked for everybody who's interested. Then we could decide where to meet.
If you decide to meet in Fredericksburg, I'd take the Amtrak up and stay at a nearby B&B and sightsee. Sounds like fun. If it's easier for you to first meet in NoVa, I'll understand. Love to come up there (that's where I grew up) and might even be able to work out a visit if I can get a good rate somewhere.
You all should do the get togethers. I'm from VA, but live in Tampa area now and we have what is called the Tampa Gabfest group. We meet monthly. It's fun to meet others from here. I'm hoping to get back to God's country in VA soon though. Been here long enough. Just returned from a 10 day tour in Richmond. Went to the Oyster Festival in urbanna on Friday and had a wonderful time. Wish it was a longer visit.
I think Lou is in Williamsburg, Cookinglady is around Richmond and I'm in Virginia Beach so we're pretty spread out. I'm sure if she could make it, IrishGirl would like to join us and she's in Richmond also. Cathy, maybe the Richmond area would be a more central place to meet but I'm willing ~~~ I'm all for it and would love for it to work out!
Grammy, I'm pretty flexible as far as travel, I'd just need to know a few days ahead of time so that I can take the day off from work. Chessielee is here in Richmond too and she might love to join us.

Richmond is fine with me too. (of course!) There are a number of restaurants in the Virginia Center Commons area which is near where I-95 and I-295 intersect. Would any of you Woodbridge or Herndon folks be up for the trip?......Ann
I could go to Richmond also but I don't know anything about the area so someone would have to advise me.Weekends are rough on the road. Tues, or Thu. are the best days for me. We could put out feelers for the second or third week in Dec or wait until after the holidays and say the 2nd or 3rd week in Jan. Cathy
