How crass

Not being a fan of Obama, now or ever, I still am having some trouble understanding his actions yesterday. I guess I should be glad he did not shows up wearing clown shoes and a red-bulb nose. Also, kind of funny this is from a "hometown" NBC outlet. I guess the bloom is off the rose, huh?

This was one thing both Presidents Reagan and Clinton were very good at. They and their staffs knew proper etiquette in situations like this. Despite the fact that the buck stops at the President’s desk I have been very incredulous toward the dysfunctions of President Obama’s staff. Obviously the writer of the article feels the same way. I agree with the writer when he asks, “Who is advising him?” Further into the article he asked, “Did the president's team not realize what sort of image they were presenting to the country at this moment?” I guess the answer is, “Apparently NOT!”

I wasn't pleased when I say the Prez's reaction live. But then I thought what would I do, how would I act? Who knows? Remember Bush's deer in the headlights look when he was told about the towers?

Even today, I did not feel confident about anything when I heard Obama talk. He seems stressed. I can't picture Clinton messing up like that. I guess , though, we are all human.

GWB would have been there in a heartbeat!

Like NOLA after Katrina? Or NYC after 9/11? Or after the killing spree at the Virgina University?

Yep. George was Johnny on the spot.

Did any of the naysayers happen to think that a Presidential visit would detract from the situation as opposed to being supportive?

The naysayers should know, they whine about the police and security measures that have to be taken when ever he leaves the WH compound...

Right, TS.... supportive. So, when do you think he will show up?

First, GWB is a Texan and ex military, Or did you buy into Dan Rather's story? He was in NOL, twenty times after Katrina. Did you want him to arrive sooner so he could get swept away? Considering that the Pentagon was under attack, and the White House targeted, where would you have liked him to be? More than likely in one of the Twin Towers. BTW, he did visit Virginia Tech after the massacre - Google it.

All Obama seems to be is confused anymore...

But what else can you expect from an empty suit.

Those visits by GWB weren't instantaneous were they Aries?

Yes, it was announced that the President would be at Ft. Hood this weekend.
