How lucky am I? I never ever tried to smoke a cigarette. I could never get past the smell of them!
You are blessed,girl!
I wish I could take back all of the years that I did smoke!

I'm try'n to think ...... I used to keep them in one of my clothing drawers and I think sometimes tucked them under my bed. But my mom new fairly early on that I was smoking because she could smell them on me. She had enough common sense though not to lecture me much because she had already been a heavy smoker for years. But she let me know in no uncertain terms that she ('did not approve'!). The worst 'getting caught' story or consequence of smoking other than the eventual physical consequences, was a car accident I had with my mothers car while cruising around town with friends. You know how sometime the butt would stick to your lips when you tried to remove it to shake off the ash? Well the ash and burning end fell off between my legs, landed on the car seat and in a few blocks started a small smoldering fire. In the process of frantically trying to deal with that I hit a parked car. Lots of damage to both my moms car and the other car. Bad, Bad, Bad. Bill
I never did start; but, like ol Bill Clinton I took a puff on a weed one time and almost died cause it made me cough so hard it hurt my lungs so no I did not inhale and I wish I had never done that. Was just glad that the county sheriff never showed up because it was in a moving "pot party" That was it for me and I could never stand the smell of smoke after that.
Well,Red.....I hate to inform you,but I think if it hurt your lungs, you DID inhale.....
Bill,I hid my cigs under the bed,but they were always kinda flat,ha!
But your getting caught story was one of the most dramatic ones I've heard!.....Man!

My first cigarette was on the Bob-Lo boat down the Detroit River to the amusement park. A girlfriend and I bought a pack from a vending machine on the boat. I realized years later that I never did inhale enough to have smoke go down my throat. I believed Bill Clinton when he said he didn't inhale. I had a few cigarettes in college (not inhaling), but never finished a pack before it got stale.
I got my car repaired this week at a garage where the mechanic apparently smokes because the car smelled like cigarette smoke for 2 days afterwards. Don't smokers realize how bad they smell and that they even stink up things around them? Sorry, if you're a smoker, but I'd really urge people to stop, if only for that reason.

Actually,I didn't realize when I smked, that people could smell the smokey smell.......it took awhile after I quit,to notice.
LadyS......all I can say is,I know how enjoyable smoking is,and I know what a "BOOGER" it is to try to quit!
So,you have to go with how you want it!...ha!

I remember how much i enjoyed it storm and it took me 7 times of trying to quit to actually do it.
Well I smoked off and on for years mostly off. I could never finnish a full pk. and it would be months befor I would have another one. I don't think I inhaled as I would have been more addicted. Sis hears from me once in awhile. She has COPD andshe scares me. I love her to much to want to bury her. My house is smoke free and shes the only one alowed to break the rules at times.
