Surviving Disaster....

Have any of you seen this tv show? They have aired several episodes this year.

Ones I have watched or DVRed for later are surviving a terrorist attack on an airplane, surviving a terrorist attack in a mall. surviving a fire, surviving an earthquake, a hurricane, an avalanche, a nuclear bomb, lost at sea and a home invasion, maybe more, not sure.

The host is Cade Courtley, an ex Navy Seal. They also interview experts and victims of these topics to add more thought on these subjects. It is on Spike channel. Not sure if you can catch these episodes online or not. Anyways, the guy has some really good survival hints. After watching the nuclear bomb one though, not sure I would want to survive that. It was pretty rough. I still need to watch the earthquake episode.

Anyway, just wondering if any of you have followed that show?

Never heard of it. Lots of times I am looking for something worthwhile to watch. I'll make a mental note of this one. Although, depending on what it's about I agree, I may think its time to cash the chips in and leave.

Yes, the name is "Surviving Disaster." I thought there were good hints in general even if you are not caught in this exact scenario that you could use. Then there were other tips that I thought, well, the cards would have to be played just right to use the tips he gave. All in all though, I thought it was an interesting show. Warning, don't watch it just before bed. It will get your heart pumping.

It's on SPIKE. I think it is all capitalized, please don't think I'm shouting. lol Where I live, it is channel 168. Not sure it is the same channel number every where, but SPIKE should be the same.

Here is a link. You may be able to catch shows online if you missed them, or at least find out when there may be a rerun.

Again, don't watch it before bed. You may not be able to sleep for awhile. They make the situation very real. They draw you in and you almost feel like you are there with them. My heart just pumps when I watch it. Hey, maybe that's a good way to get a cardio workout. Just watch this show.

I heard about it but don't really care to follow it. So many news items and reports have been playing on everyones fears. I'd rather spend my time reading a good book or walking my pup!!! Ignorance is bliss???? LOL I have enough stress in my life without purposely adding more.

I prefer not to watch more things that can add fear to my life. The news is sometimes enough to raise my fear level.

I agree with Cosmic. Rather sit with my pup and have a good feeling.
