why can't all those riches Blacks, rappers, movie and tv stars get together and buy these two magazines?
First BET now Jet and Ebony, why can we not hold and keep anything.
Another shame on us!

magazines are dying, just as newspapers. It's not US. It's the internet. Going the way of the buggy whip.

PS-- I didn't like Jet or Ebony very much. Will miss Essence.

I like Ebony, I think I outgrew Essences, LOL, but still get it from time to time for grands.

Hi---I just subscribe to the Essence magazine.....I had been getting this magazine for years and I have decided lately to start getting it again.....its $18 for one year.....it has changed for the better now....its more gear toward everyday people and not high society people.....smile

I subscribe to both Ebony abd Essence and I have done so for many years. I noticed that Ebony magazines, jutst like the daily paper, was getting smaller and smaller. I will miss the Ebony.

I remember when the black community in rural areas depended soley on the Ebony and Jet to get the latest information on what was happening in black America. I still have the Jet magazine that featured the death of Emmit Till. The Johnson family has contirbuted so much to our community. I wish them the best in all they undertake.
