The time has come

I'm going to put my home on the market.....don't know what that means for me....but its something I really need to do.
The realtor will be here next week to walk through and tell me what I need to do. She also has a woman looking for a place for horses and this place is set up for horses. I guess we'll see.

I don't mind telling you this is breaking my heart. I have lived here since 1974...I love this place.

That's got to be tough! In all my adult life I haven't lived in one house over 7 years! Will you stay in Tennessee?

Annie I am also listing my house after the new year. The kids are grown and its too big and out in the country with nothing around. Mine was a summer home from 1987 till 1994 when we moved in full time.

Hi all, I have put my land on the market this month and when it sells I will put the house up
for sale unless someone wants the whole place then the house can go also. I am going to
be moving to town as I am tired of all the work and I want to be able to walk when I need something
not have to drive all the time.
I bought this place in 1970 and thought I would die here but I am ready for a new start, new
state and a new adventure.
Good Luck To Everyone..........

I know that day will come for me too. I hope to be able to keep up with the place for one more decade, God willing and then move closer to my kids. This house has been my home since 1981.
I wish you good fortune, Annie! Change, especially of this magnitude is very hard.

Annie I know how hard this is going to be for you. Especially after the real estate person tells you what your home and land is worth compared to what it was worth only a few years ago. If you feel this is what you really want then I suggest you stop looking back and look forward and decide what you want to do in the future. What kind and how big a place do you want? I know for me I was anxious to get out of NYC and move to a much smaller town in AZ. I also went from a 625 sq foot 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment to a 3 bedrm 2 bthrm house. I also now have a garage and a back yard. But I also have room for visitors where I did not in my apartment.
I wish you the best and hope you find what you want. Just please be sure this is what you really want to do. The guilt and regrets could harm you physically and mentally and affect your health. I would not want that to happen to you.

If any of you that have made the change similar to what Annie is contemplating please tell her what to expect and that it was the best choice you have made. I know I am happier now than I was before. I hope Annie gets to feel that too.

Annie, I am not a homeowner, so I can only imagine how difficult this is for you. Your home holds so many memories and has been an intricate part of your life for a long time. I wish you the best in your future endeavors and sincerely hope that this is a step toward something better (which you perhaps don't even realize now).

I sold a home I absolutely loved, but I really didn't have an option. It was too expensive and way too large for me to keep as a single person, so I bit the bullet and downsized. I still have plenty of room, but it's not the same. Only you know if this is right for you Annie, and if you've made up your mind, then start looking forward to new adventures, wherever they may take you. You're obviously a strong women and can handle what comes, but that doesn't make it any less difficult to leave behind the things you have loved. I don't know if you're moving far away or right next door, but I wish you all the best.
