I used to feed them peanuts but I found them to be very aggresive and destructive.

They make a nice stew lol
They go into the outdoor pots and mess up the flowers sometimes.
They will dig up about anything in the spring. They get into wiring and frie themselves/ They get in the eves and chew every thing. Sometimes starting fires. But my dog loves them she says they are quite tasty.
Oh my LadyS! If we do get a squirrel problem here at The Diner, we may want to borrow your dog for a few days. :)
Fixed mine....a ball of peanut butter mixed with Dycon rat poison...all my soffits are chewed through and hanging...pluss their droppings carry desises...be careful of them...and... they breed like rats...which they are but just with a furry tail,,,

A few small problems with field mice but not with squirrels. We have enough cats around here to keep them busy!
My dog used to take care of any varmits, she's a blood thirsty "heffer" ha!
But she's so old now,and stays in a corner most of the time now.....
The poison sounds like a good idea.....
Because I hear them up in the eaves and even sounds like they are inside the roof.

That's where the wiring is for both the telephone and power. So I am glad they haven't chewed threw the power lines because that would not only kill them; but, could also start a fire. I was a building maintenance supervisor & I had to know where all the wiring and plumbing was located in the building in case there was a problem it could be addressed quickly.
