These warnings to gamers, head gamers, players, etc., go hand in hand with the "glass half full" statement!! Not worth the key strokes they were typed with!! IMHO! :)
I think anyone who had a profile written out like that, had already started the games....who do they think they're kidding? Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but the last time I checked Eon's was for adults....
In today's world I thing of a Gamer as someone who plays video games 24 hours a day or they are into the role playing games like D&D, etc. Yes, I have met men in their 50's who are video game addicts. BTW mentioning Boats doesn't she limit herself.
I saw it on a Dating site profile, not on an Eons profile. Crowlady, maybe you are right, maybe gamers means people who are majorly into RP games and other computer games.
Maybe she is being specific and really wants a guy with a boat. Or maybe since she likes sailing, she thought she was being cute and clever with a double meaning, because she says if you have a boat and are looking for a first mate.
Well, who knows. Just shows you that you have to be specific, because clever doesn't always come across correctly.
How about the dating profiles that say looking for someone who is intelligent and has a good sense of humor.
Would someone think, 'Nah. I'm not too bright, and have no sense of humor, so I won't contact this person.'

If someone likes sailing I see nothing wrong with that portion of her post. To a sailor 'first mate' has meaning.
The 'no game players,' 'no head games' is like those who post "no solicitor' signs on their doors, the latter people who are advertising they have no sales resistance. That type of language in ads and men are just as guilty, indicates either they have been burned before and are suspicious of all, or have made many mistakes, are gullible.
Intelligence is a turn on for many, if one believes what they post even here. So, perhaps it could be stated better, but it is good to know what a person's criteria is up front.
Just needs to add - will work for sex... and she may land herself a man.... LOL
To me, it is too negative, I would not be interested in a person who thinks on these terms.
