Sad that there is little activity....but you can change that cause you can always invite members and get it going.......... Sometimes members in groups lose interest and then come back.......the one group that I see has alot of activity actually a couple of groups are this one and other groups where members can gripe, complain, vent etc...... that's kinda sad when you think about it.........
There are too many humor groups. After an invitation from a friend today, I looked at the groups in he profile, and I discovered another one, "Gallows Humor", which I also joined. It also has about 70 members, but it seems to be more active than the Clubhouse.
There was also another huge joke group with 2,000 or so members a few years ago, but it was a real zoo, too many posts, and not always the best quality material..
Before the Eons fuss a year or so ago - there were a lot of very very active groups - but after so many of the membership got ticked off and left it has never really been the same here, even though some of them have come back. For instance - this is really the only Eons group I bother with anymore and if it folds there really is no reason to stay on Eons as far as I'm concerned.
Hometown girl if I remember correctly - Eons basically used to have 2 kinds of groups - the venting PO'd kind and the sickly sweet make you want to vomit kind lol. I'll take PO'd almost any day over icky icky lol. OMG and I forgot about the all hell breaks loose fights you used to see in some of the icky sweet rooms lol - at least here we're pretty much all po'd about something not so much someone lol.

Oh, I forgot to mention this; there is constant traffic at the clubhouse, but not a lot of people are posting new jokes regularly. As managers and moderators, we can look at the members to see how long it's been since somebody has been over there, and there is traffic.
So, since a lot of us in here are also members there, how about we all cut and paste some of the massive volume of jokes that we get constantly in our emails?

Wow! Joined the Clubhouse 2 days ago and knocking it already! Hey, maybe you could blame it on Obama too! Maybe nobody responded because there was nothing to respond too! I read your jokes, had a little chuckle, and moved on.

As I recall that goes back to the late 60s, a bunch of us back then really didn't see any problem with being the kind of people our parents warned us against - it certainly seemed to be better than toeing the line

You may have a way to see how much traffic there is there, but just from looking at it, it seems dead.
And I am not talking about posting new jokes. The problem is that people do not even respond, even negatively, when you do post one.
Can you imagine a stand-up comic who is met with silence? Who will want to post a joke there if there is no reaction, not even a negative one?
A good measure of the activity is to see when the last reply was posted. it should be hours, not tens of days!
Well, I guess I am not entitled to my opinion Didn't know it was National insult HomeTownGirl this week!! Thanks guys! Guess we baby boomers should B~~~~ more as that it seems that's what it's all about! I am not saying that it's not good to vent and discuss different topics - that's for sure and I have my share of gripes but........ Oh well to each his/her own........... It's the "put downs" from other members that hurt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
