And you know I voted for him because somebody had to at least TRY to fix the mess made my non-Socialist Marxists. People need to get a grip. The man hasn't been President for a year yet and just because he hasn't miraculously made this world a better place he has been desecrated and emasculated from day one.
I remember another Man who came to try to save us and we did the same thing to Him. I always say to people if you think you can do a better job as President then get your butt out there and show us what you got!

The label of 'socialist' being put on Obama is just another ploy by blatherers like Beck and Limbaugh and their followers. Most would not know a real socialist if it came up and bit them on the leg, but calling the President that name is now mandatory for the righties. All governmental systems look good on paper, even socialism and communism. No, I do not follow either of those. Democracy looks good on paper too, but as we all know, it does not work like the proverbial Swiss watch. We have divergent views on how it should work and that is where we get into trouble: the right, it seems, wants less government but at the same time they would like us all to get into lockstep with them. This leads to more government--look at all the onerous laws enacted under Bush and Cheney, which put the government right there in our private spaces, including phones, email, snail mail and consumer purchases. It looked a lot like fascism to me at the time; it looked real Nazi-ish. It echoed the East German government of the Berlin Wall era and I'm happy McCain was not elected because it would have continued in that vein. Obama is doing the best he can given what he inherited from the last occupant of the White House so we need to all simmer down and give him some time and space. He has about 30 IQ points over the last guy and he's using them every day, thank God.
