Moveitaroundphobia

Thanks LaylaTX for this one. We now have two new words to add to our dictionary.

I have moveitaroundphobia with small towels, like kitchen and hand towels. Once worn they become playtoys for the dogs. Then they move to grooming wipes for muddy paws. From there they go to the stable to become grooming cloths for the horses. And if I can still get them clean through washing they become soap and oil cloths for cleaning tack. I'd say I get my moneys worth out of kitchen and hand towels.(They get washed of course between usings)

What are some of the items in your home that you have a moveitaroundphobia
to deal with?

Let's talk socks.

First they go on our feet.

Next they become dust clothes, bath mitt's for pet washing or emergency mittens (when the regular mittens are wet but ALL the new snow is not played in yet).

When my big dog was a puppy I took all the old socks I could find and tied them together with lots of knots to make play toys. Cheaper than store bought and got rid of the one of a kinds.

My gate leg table has moveitaroundphobia. It never wears out but it sure does become other things really well.

This has been a kitchen island, a desk, a diner table, a hobby center, a home school resource center, a swing table, a sofa table, and a TV stand.

Toothbrush. Originally used for teeth, then to a keyboard brush, to a get into small spaces to dust or clean, grout scrubber and finally a mineral deposit scrubber around faucets. I tried clean my dogs teeth with a toothbrush. He thought I was trying to choke him to death. :))

I do the same with kitchen hand towels, minus the horse stuff. Usually end up as grease rags. Often serve my dog Tasha after a wet walk. They scrub the floor. Sometimes they have multi-uses long before they retire as hand towels but, you know, I'm a guy ...... . 1 to 2 lb coffee cans convert to kitchen grease receptacles, nut and bolt cans, junk cans. Egg cartons sometimes end up housing my spare golf balls or serve as spring time seed planters, or often just become good compost. Let's see, well, you get the idea. I don't know if it's a curse or not but I never throw anything away unless I can't think of anything else to use it for. Bill
