What an enchanting photo! I love the path (who knows where it ends?), the tree leaning to the left, the remaining bits of yellow and orange----the frost is ethereal, you really picked the perfect vantage point to create a wonderful vision. I would frame this!

Heyjude's question really doesn't have an answer. Local legend says it's an old Indian Trail. It goes deep in the woods. (I followed it almost 5 miles once).
