I need help creating my website (repost)

This is a repost. I've PM'd luneib to explain the little problem with the original message.

Here is all my website says at the moment, I have no idea how to get in it to create the actual web site, since it says under construction. The tech people at the place hosting my website were no help at all. What I did was chose a template then changed the wording under each heading to the wording for our company, however, none of that is coming up. I was told I needed to go into it and create it that I had not done that yet, but....I haven't a clue how to go about creating the rest of my website, any suggestions? I am a novice to all of this.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Sounds like you are using the HTML editor from your web hosting site. It will help us to know the name of the site that hosts your website - like googlesite.com, webs.com, 110mb.com etc.

Generally, when you log in to the web host, you'll have some choices. One choice might be "account information". Another might be "file manager". Another choice will be to use their HTML editor - whatever they call it. You probably need to click to go into that editor before you can work on other pages.

You've chosen a template and started filling it with information for one page. There should be a way to save the template as your first page - they may call that your "index page". I'm guessing that you would then call up the same template - perhaps there is a button for "new page" or something like that and then save it with another name, such as "about", "contact", etc. The template may have preset pages.

There should be some step-by-step instructions on how to use the editor. Did the tech folks there give you some links to help files?

Anyway, let us know where it is hosted and we'll see what we can do to help.

Your hosting site, justhost.com, has two site builders - SiteReptile and RVsiteBuilder. (Don't you just love the names some sites come up with!)

You can find video tutorials on how to use either site builder at this link: view link www.justhost.com/video-tutorials

The third section down is "Site Builder Video Tutorials" and the fourth one down is "RVSiteBuilder Video" The "Site Builder appears to be the one that would be easier to use.

You might want to view a few of the videos to get an idea of how it works. (Kind of like reading the instructions first, LOL) Then, when you are ready to start to work again, you could have one window open to the list of video tutorials (link above) and the other window open to your account at justhost.com. Then you can start where you left off.

I'd have to hit pause quite a bit as I was working because the tutorials do go fast!

Good luck!

I asked them to refund my money since I got the website up so to speak, but it said under construction, geeez. Anyhoo a friend gave me another site where I can create my website for free, so I'm going to try that instead. Thank you for all your help, much appreciated.
