Hey, I just happened on to your post. I normally do the parents group. Sorry you were in the hospital. Are you ok now? Do you want to share that experience?
Read your poem. What a grateful sensitive soul. I live in NYC but travel to Columbus often about six to 7 times a years. My companion wants me to move there. I am hesitant. I have lived her for 30+. The only thing hard here is parking. No spaces available hardly.
I have negative feelings about Ohio but do want to have that change. I know.......... it my attitude. Liked that in your blog.
I have felt there is one more place for me to live ........... just have not found it. I feel really good in Colorado and New Mexico but not my companion. He likes Ohio. I don't see the appeal except for his family.............. It is a big pull for him but my family is closer to me here in NY than in Ohio. Guess we will see.
I also have a very sick, late stage Alzheimer's mother. But she is 2000 miles away. I go often there too. Send money for her nurse. My siblings take care of her. So I know your feelings about Mom. How elderly is she? Is she in good health. It was nice to see a man concern himself with his mom. In our family, it is mostly the daughters that assume that loving responsibility. Thank care.
