A new one!

Got my new computer...super fast with a 22 inch monitor, loads of HD space, 4 Gig,. It uses Win 7 and I had to find a printer driver for my HPc4200 printer. I'll need to load up all the software I need but right now Linda is using it. It came preloaded with a lot of games. One game is called "Plants vs Zombies" and of course I had to play it. The kids will love it!

Ok, back to "Cutie Honey"

Wow sounds like a cool one. Please let me know how you are getting along with the Windows 7. That's what we will be getting when we get a new laptop and kicking it around to get it for the big pc as well. I know it's not as easy to install 7 on an XP, but we'll see if it's worth it.

You tell Linda she needs to learn how to get on here to chat with us! LOL.

Have fun with the new PC.

I would not upgrade from XP to Win 7. You might have driver problems with printers and w/e. I have 2 XP machines here also and they will stay that way. If you get a new machine, Win 7 Pro is best choice, 4 gig mem unless you get a netbook then the home version is ok.

Will post computer pix later!

Microsoft has announced they will not support XP after 2014 - no updates, patches for probelms, etc., etc. What is the difference between reg 7 and pro 7?

Congrats on your new computer. I had wanted Win 7 when I got this one, thinking it was coming out last spring. At the time I couldn't wait, till fall.

Win 7 Pro has more going for it in terms of features. Home version ok on smaller machines. view link

Of course I have 3 (soon to be 4 by Spring) computers and run a network where I share between them. I can be upstairs and grab a movie on the one downstairs.

For me it was the fact that XP also comes with the Pro edition.

Well keep us informed of how it goes. We might be getting it for the desk top. But I sure would like to hear about it. I know it doesn't have all the drivers and stuff that XP has, but I've heard some good stuff. Would like to hear it from your point of view.

Would still stick with XP on an older machine. It works...don't fix it.
