ARMY SAYS ITS “TOO PREMATURE” TO RULE OUT TERROISM

Suspect’s name: Major Malik Nadal Hassan…convert to ISLAM–RELIGION OF “PEACE” & Sky News: Fort Hood shooting suspect was Army mental health professional.

Brian Ross…shooter recent convert to Islam.

The shooter was an Army Mental Health professional…ie possible psychiatrist or psychologist? 39 year old licensed psychiatrist, confirmed. Bot MD and MPH.

A Pentagon source identified the shooter as Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan; the source said Hasan was a psychiatrist recently reassigned from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., to work with soldiers at Darnall Army Medical Center on Fort Hood. He was killed at the scene.

CNN is stating he is Jordanian h/t Nom.

Emotional carnage.

Major Ben Phillips, a psychologist, estimated that 15 to 30 per cent of returning soldiers had psychological problems, mostly post-traumatic stress disorder or traumatic brain injuries. He said the soldiers’ vulnerability to psychological disorders increased with each deployment, and equivocated when asked if they were being sent back into action before they were fully recovered.

These soldiers and their families did not need this man destroying them and their families. They have enough to live with each day. The shooter was set to deploy and he was not happy according to Sen Kay Hutchinson. What about the other two who were arrested? What will we learn now?

MY daughter lives in Texas and until recently her husband was a photographer at Fort Hood
until they moved ..anyway I felt immediately it was connected to terror activity
I feel sympathy for these soldiers and their families and my daughter was very upset over this.
She has worked with alot of soldiers families in the mental health field there in Texas.

Having a unknown enemy to be your mental health doctor when you need help.... not secret hate...
I bet he did a lot of good for those soldiers

There was a correction made this evening by the base commander during a news conference. The shooter is alive and in stable condition. He is on a ventilator however. My son-in-law is stationed at Ft. Hood so my daughter and family live on base. We've visited Ft. Hood since they've lived there a couple of times and of course I'm a civilian and not an expert at anything military, but it seemed to me the base was secure. My daughter tells me there are now tanks at all the gates leading onto the base. The problem, of course, is the threat came from within. The shooter, I believe they said, was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in Virginia. While at Walter Reed he was given poor reviews so I have to wonder why he was transfered to Ft. Hood and given a promotion to Major? Ft. Hood is a tight-knit community and this tragedy has sent shock waves throughout the entire base. "They" have been watching this suspect for 6 months because of email/internet chatter. The soldiers on base aren't allowed to carry weapons unless they're involved in training exercises. So when the gunman started shooting they couldn't even defend themselves. I have to wonder; if this shooter was monitoring returning soldiers for PTS, who was monitoring him????? How could anyone in their right mind, with such malice and disregard, carry out such a deed??? Personally, I'm glad he's alive and I hope he recovers. He needs to be held accountable for all the damage he's done and for all the lives he's shattered. All the victims deserve justice.

They will more than likely sentence him to hanging at Ft Leavenworth.

This is a real problem, first we had the sergeant who tossed in a grenade and fragged his own squad in the beginning of the Gulf war ... he was a black guy who had converted to Islam.

Then there was the black guy who had converted to Islam and shot the army recruiter.

Now this ... the same thing is common, ... Islamic Jihad.

For a bunch of Arabs to do something like this is one thing, they have been indoctrinated in Jihad since child hood, for an American adult, who may have been a convert ... well that is something different. It tells us that this must be talked about in the masque by imams. Muslims must think that this is their duty to that phony god allah.

If we are going to fight with Islam, and we are, even if the president will not admit it, then we must not allow Muslims to serve, and we need to have a better knowledge of their 'Hate Speech' in the masque.

i'm sure he could have resigned his commission and gotten out of the army. i guess in that sense we are lucky that he was confined to the small area at the fort rather than be on a plane or subway somewhere.

A United States law enforcement official said that Major Nidal Malik Hasan's apartment in Killeen, Texas was searched early Friday. It was not immediately known whether FBI agents found anything suspicious on Hasan's computer files.

Bob MaginnisLt. Col. Bob Maginnis (USA-Ret.) says disturbing revelations in the FBI's findings are coming to the surface.

"[Hasan] put comments on some blogs, and I've seen some of those blogs which are pretty implicating that he sees Jihad as something that is called upon him," reports Maginnis. "Now whether or not all that is true, I don't know yet. However, another piece [of suspicion] is supposedly that he yelled 'Allah Akbar' as he stood on the table at the processing center and fired at point blank at as many people as he possibly could. Now if that's all true, [it's] very distressing. [There is] a lot of tragedy here, [and] a lot of markers should have been identified long ago. Something very special should have been taken to kick him out of the military, [but that] didn't happen."

Maginnis believes it is clear that Fort Hood authorities did not grasp the seriousness of Hasan's complaints and behavior. He further feels it is naive for the services to neglect watching for and acting upon markers of disloyalty.
