I finally did it!!

Well, I finally did it! I have my first novel published. I never thought it would happen and my impatience after submitting the manuscript to the publisher (AuthorHouse) made the journey seem twice as long. In reality, though, I have to commend AuthorHouse. They did a very good job, helping me with this project. The book, 'A Murder In Zurich', is now for sale on their website and hopefully, within a few weeks, at Amazon.com. I hope my second one goes just as easily. The cover photo is in the photo file.

Congratulations! When Amazon gets it, make sure they make it available on Kindle. Are far are you into number 2?

You deserve loads of congrats for following through and seeing your book in print! Will you keep us posted on your publishing and marketing journey? I've just finished a writers conference in which they drilled into us that even known authors have to do 80-90% of the marketing required to sell their books, so you've got a road ahead of you.

I'm also interested in your continuing experiences with Author House. They are one of 3 or 4 that I'm considering if two small publishing houses who have requested my ms decide not to publish it.

Thanks everyone. It has been a journey. The book is now available on Amazon.com in harcover as well as paperback. The E-book hasn't been released yet. I am now working on my second book, utilizing the two main characters. This one will take place in Boston as well as Revere, Massachusetts.
Louscraps, I have had very good luck with AuthrHouse. I highly recommend them. Any problems that came up, they were only a phone call or an email away. AuthorHouse has designed my marketing materials and I will hopefully be placing a poster in a local book store.

tjbr52, I was hoping just one book would net me a movie deal, now it looks like I'll have to write a few more! :) I actually am on my second.
