AARP - Fully Owned Subsidary of Obama

The AARP has completely sold out the people they are supposed to be serving in order to march in lockstep with the Obama Administration. In their announcement of they just repeated the talking points of the democratic far left.

Listen to the introduction of the CEO - he is a long advocate of "social change" - I guess he is getting what he wants out of this sell out.

I was amazed how they cherry picked features, didn't mention the downside, made the outlandish claim that this would not raise the deficit and took at face value the claim that the government could magically cut out the corruption in Medicare that has been rampant since its inception and has only gotten worse not better. It is obvious to me that a deal has been brokered between the lobbyists at AARP and the Obama administration - they are taking a hit in membership and really don't give a crap, so they must be making it up in other sources of income.

Being a member of AARP membership fees went up drom $12.59 to $16 a year so it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that their income is basd on other sources: selling health insurance & nedicare advantage plans, Life insurance, believe even car insurance? selling space in the magazine and newletters. a grant from the Ford?foundation and they own a trvel company.

A majority of AARP members simply do not know the real face of the organization.

Like ACORN's pronouncements, it sounds like "Consumer Reports" or "AAA."

How do we get the message out ?

We should post the truth about AARP selling us out over and over again every few weeks and urge Eons members boycott AARP.

how's the boycott on France doing?

The boycott on France was a great success, Sarkozy was elected and he is much less of a socialist than his predecessor and Obama. Thanks for reminding us of the successes of boycotts.

Well- It reduces the long term deficit by $104 billion over ten yrs according to the CBO. Isnt that the main goal of all this? Or do you WANT medicare to fail! Maybe you even want social security to fail too?

That my friend is a load of Crap. The reduction of the deficit was contrived from gutting Medicare, saving billions of dollars in WFA that nobody has ever been able to do in the past and won't in the future, rationing health care to the elderly, and shifting the cancellation of the 21% of scheduled cuts in doctors fees to another bill, which will actually increase the deficit by $278B. Smoke and mirrors and a "Liar in Chief" with a pay for play agenda is about to bankrupt this country.
