Who I Deserving of a Flu Shot?

The thoughts that are being espoused in our country are scary and appauling. Who is worthy to receive the swine flu vaccination? Who will pick and choose those who are worthy. Who is important enough to the collective people that they would need to be protected?

I know that I would not be one of those people. Little old me, firstly old, who needs old people around? How about politicians? Oh yes, they are worthy. Who else?

Those evil wall street types and bankers, oil company executives, pharmaceutical ceos, insurance salesmen....they don't deserve it!

As with the last post Scott was not completely up on what is really happening. Apparently the flu shots have been given out to business to give to the employees who qualify. Much like having someone go in to a school rather than the individuals all going in to the doctor. Makes sense if you think about it. There has to be checks and balances so that the people who qualify are the ones who get the shot but apart from that it seems like a realistic way to do it to me. I mean they are giving them in a lot of different locations other than the hospital or doctors office and no one is saying anything about that? Paranoia is rampant it seems............oooh goodness someone might get something that I might want. Not fair........

We were able to get the shots for $20 at work but I passed. I'm not big on flu shots. Scott can have mine.

I got my seasonal flu shot the first week of September. As soon as the H1N1 is available for our agre group I will get that one to.

Seeing people in line can be deceiving. Many clinics are doing both shots, but only those in high risk categories receive the H1N1 shot - and there still isn't enough for those most vulnerable. I don't feel sorry for anyone not in a high risk group who wants to have a pity party 'cause they aren't in that high risk group. It's not a matter of who "deserves" it - it's a matter of who is most at need.

Bah... FW's system laughs at the flu, E-coli, colds etc...

There is more than enough caffine, nicotine, Jack Danials and other good things in there to scare any bug.

In Dallas County, the first round of H1N1 went to pregnant women and children WITHOUT health insurance, plus you had to make an appointment.

Last year I got some kind of flu, and was flat on my back for 3 weeks, then I had breathing problems for another TWO months. Thank goodness I had gotten the pneumonia shot the year before. I was way more sick than when I had the Hong Kong flu back in the 60's, and I'm not convinced that I didn't have the H1N1 - and BTW I will not be getting the shot. My plan is to avoid crowds, and use plenty of hand sanitizer.
