do it all, unless my son helps clean snow or rake...
fix toilets, plumbing pipes, paint, lay pavers, mow - although lately i have been paying my brother to do some bigger jobs like cleaning off my roof.

I'm lucky my husband can fix just about anything and do any kind of DIY. He's a fantastic gardener. Nobody has to shovel snow as when it does snow it melts within 24 hours.
I have a guy I worked with to do little odd jobs that I can not do, for a price...lol. Nothing is free. I still do yard maintience and the city is suppose to do my snow shoveling, but they are rarely there so I and sometimes my neighbors pitch in to help shovel the snow.
I can do some repairs, but it is quite minor.
My hubby does it all.... isn't he sweet? But did call a plumber the last time when we needed a new facuet for the kitchen... something about the fittings not being the size of the new fixtures for the piping... Was well worth to as he didn't have to make 20 trips to the store and it saved for a lot of @&%#$&&$(# ....lol
3 words- duct tape, butter knife and shoe= Tools.
My husband can do pretty much anything also. We rarely have to hire someone to do any work. He's a type A personality and can't stand to sit still.

I've always tried to take care of things myself, now I have no choice. I can replace light fixtures, do all the yardwork, last year I replaced a vanity and sink/faucet and I live in a ranch so I'm up on the roof cleaning gutters at least once a week this time of year. I call somebody else to do the big stuff.
no roof walker here and electrical nope ain't happening - scares me.

Oh Gosh...roofs....let's see.. I have torn the shingles off three houses and helped reshingle....Of course the roofs were not steep and really high, just one story levels.... I really liked doing it, and with all the nifty tools out there now...it is even better!
My hubby is the handyman & I am the helper (gopher).
