It is coffee time and mine is ready...thank you all for the sandwich ideas...I shall have to give some of them a try!With the holiday season upon us, what are your favorite holiday pies and goodies? I love mince meat pie. I don't make them because none of my family liked them.But, this year I am going to put a spoonful in my favorite sugar cookie and put another on top and bake it...I usually fill cookies with strawberry and apricot preserves put another cookie on top, sprinkle with sugar and bake...I add nutmeg to my cookie dough. Wish I had a few to dunk in my coffee! :-)

I also make peanut butter fudge for each of the families. By the time the holidays are over I don't want to smell or eat peanutbutter for a couple of months.

I have a recipe somewhere for a pumpkin pie with mincemeat in the bottom of it. Maybe you could try that. Hide your mincemeat under your pumpkin pie! Any recipe with raisins could take mincemeat instead. I like mincemeat, too. Have you ever made your own mincemeat? I had to help my grandma when she made mincemeat from scratch. Nasty. I'd rather buy it in a jar.

Now I want cookies. Everything sounds so good. I think cookies are my favorite although that peanut butter fudge sounds good too

I never made my own mincemeat, I buy it in the jar. My mother made her own but I never have...still love it though!

I've never met a cookie I didn't like, LOL.....at school I'm known as the "Cookie Monster".....somehow I just know when a parent/student drops off a plate for us in the office.....I'm usualy the first one there....

My maternal Grandma would make mince-meat pies, but I never had the courage to try it....now, know one makes them, so I may never know what they taste like....my personal favorite is pecan pie with pumpkin a close 2nd.....now, where did they hide the cookie jar.....?
