Olny srmat poelpe can raed this.

I cdnuolt blveiee that I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd what I was rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in what oredr the ltteers in a word are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is that the first and last ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can still raed it wouthit a porbelm. This is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the word as a wlohe. Amzanig huh? Yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt!

Yeah I could read it, but still prefer correct spelling. Sure we make mistakes from time to time, but it does show we know what the person is trying to say.

Could be mistakes here - do not care. We all do it. No big deal.

The one thing not mentioned is that you need to know the correct spelling first before you can understand what the scrambled words actually read.

I think we all know correct spelling is important. This was just an interesting tidbit about how the brain processes information. And you're right Eric, it's a lot clearer if we know what is correct. Which is prob why the not-so-smart ppl might not know what the heck they're looking at. LOL

I thought I could read it from doing so many word Jumbles as a kid! Or maybe they are called "scrambles". This would be a proofreaders nightmare! I bet a friend of mine who does that kind of work would faint if she saw this!
