Absolutely nothing to do with WI (I hope)?

Due to some disconnected chain of thought the other day I found myself thinking about Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker's heated and cooled dog house that was rumored to cost about $5,000 back then. And now this at a time when one half of the world lives on less than $2 a day. And I am not just suffering from "ankle biter" anxiety.

Wonderful pictures of the doghouse.
"It's one thing to live in a $325,000 McMansion yourself--but to build one just for your pets demonstrates a brand new level of excess. A brand new level excess that perhaps can only be reached by Paris Hilton."

So sad to think that the value of 3-4 of our homes adds up to a doghouse.

Yet, I am so blessed with what I have. I don't need more of a house though a maid might help.

Maybe too much money rots the mind. In Wisconsin language, "Ya gotta be stupid or somting to spend money like dat."

And Celine Dion is building a water park in her yard view link

I guess if you have it, spend it. What gets me are all these people saying that we should share the wealth...but that doesn't mean their wealth, I assume.

...And I'm sure we'll see them with their Hollywood celebrity friends at the next lefty green rally bemoaning global warming and the wasteful use of valuable resources increasing "carbon footprints" by the masses...

I heard on the radio yesterday that people think that Dion's water park will be a waste of water, her bill, they said, is expected to be many many thousands of dollars per month -- the people were silenced when they were told that she was doing the "green" thing and digging her own wells --- what? That just pulls the water from the water table, the same one that city water comes from! We have water restrictions in south Florida (I live a very short distance from this Dion development) due to droughts from years gone by, and even those of us with wells for our lawn irrigation must conform to the same rules as everyone else because there really is only one water supply whether you tap into it yourself or let the city do it for you!

Not to mention "Neverland"

Yeh.... why the hell is the vast majority of the entertainment group way left and support all the entitlement programs?

I think any of us living in the Great Lakes area KNOW water IS the new oil. I can only imagine what kind of 'negotiations' will go on in the years ahead. Does anyone think the The Great Lakes Compact is enough to protect this resource? I'm not sure myself...so interested in what others think about this.

Well if you have the $$$ for the dog house fine, but where are the people to love them?
