Check in time!

Hello Georgia Friends, it has been awfully quiet around here. Let's all check in and share what we have been up to.
What's new in your part of Ga?

Guess I'll start...I am watching the Yankees beat my Phillies...which is hard to take...lol

The weather in Atlanta has been beautiful this week. The sky has been gorgeous day and night. The bright full moon lit everything up and the bright sunshine and has kept it warm....

I'm recovering from the GA/FL game last weekend. Well, not so much the game itself as the parties afterwards. It was halloween too, so the crowds were more lively and larger than previous years.

Sounds like fun Eddy, especially if you are a Fl fan...lol
It wasn't a very good weekend for Ga fans...Bulldogs lost and so did the Falcons....
Glad the parties were fun!

Hi everyone. I suppose I should check in. Lots going on -- we had our local Mayors race so I did go vote. Mama always said that if you didn't vote, you had no right to complain about the winner. My daughter lost her wallet and has been running around getting things taken care of -- canceling credit cards, getting new bank cards, new drivers license, etc. I've been helping her as much as I can. What a mess. Yesterday was my son-in-law's birthday and now he is old enough to official join our group. I doubt that he will though. We had his party last night - I baked the cake because my daughter was using lunch breaks, etc to go to the banks, Drivers License Office, etc. Now I am tired and plan to take the "day off" and rest up. My back is still bothering me so it will be nice to take things slow. The weather is cool and we are finally seeing some color in some of the trees. I have really enjoyed it.

I second Lost's answer about the weather around Atlanta. I've been out to the park every day since the rain stopped and it is grand. The sky is so blue during the day that it is a perfect backdrop for the foliage which is falling like rain now.

Went out to dinner last night and have enough leftovers for another 3 meals! Whoopee! Then my son, DIL and I played Trivial Pursuit. All 3 of us got all our pieces and were circling the center for the win but I luckily got in first and answered my question correctly. Ta-dah! We enjoy the games that are close like that rather than when one of us is off our game that night.

All in all, it's a great time to be alive and living in Georgia!

Life in Mayberry ... uh, I mean Glenwood is seeing more excitement than in years! Some of the Prez. stim. money is repaving US 280 and everybody is getting to complain about the traffic. :) Some local folks just came out to watch the big paving machine going down the road (which is a lot different than watching a combine go down the road. :0 The weather is jacket weather and we're seeing the slightest bit of change of color in our Bradford pear trees. That's all the news from downtown Glenwood.

Back in Decatur after a 5 day trip to WDW in Orlando, FL. Nice to have a couple of days at home before returning to work Monday.

It's nice to know, pasron, that the good folks of Glenwood know the difference between a combine and a paver. Things could get a little complicated otherwise. hahahahaha

Hi Everyone! I haven't been around for quite a while but I have been enjoying my new granddaughter so much. She's my second grandchild and first girl. My grandson is almost 17 so this is new to me but I love it!
