Are we allowed to say, "I don't like it"? It's a nice shot but there are a couple of things about it that bothers me. Just for fun I ran it through Photoshop and played with it a bit. I added a half a click of sharpness and half a click of contrast, but mainly rotated it 2 degrees. The downhill horizon was freaking me out.

Okay with me Kpasa.... and thanks.. I didn't even notice till you mentioned it... was just one of those fillers since I haven't been out to do any shooting and happened upon this photo and the irony of the baoat & trailer together of sorts...

I do like yours better Thannks & Hugs....

Different strokes for different folks :)
I prefer the original sloping horizon, as if the boat were sliding onto the trailer----perfectly straight lines can be boring-----or if very geometrical quite interesting. In my opinion, in this case the photo is more appealing as originally presented.
Less than perfect horizons used to freak me too kpasa --- but I have mellowed and allowed my horizons to shift :)

I'll have to chew on the two versions for a while. HHhhhmmmmm! Very tasty. I actually like them both.

I don't have to chew, I am still a member of the right angle generation and lines that do not go where I think they should go make my teeth grate. What is interesting is that I have noticed that off-kilter horizons are very common in the various photographic groups but notwithstanding Jude's observations, I like them straight. I suppose that one could argue that all horizons are not straight but curved, but.............. lol
