Preaching to the choir, I know, but...

Al Gore has a new book out and Rodale wrote a small article about it in their daily e-newsletter. Here is a link to the article: view link which has suggestions for how to reduce our impact on the environment.

Thanks for posting this, collieflower. With regards to wind mills, I want to point out that since the 16th century birds in Europe and Asia Minor have figured out how to live successfully in a world with windmills. I believe that American birds are just as capable as European bird in adapting to their changed environment.
I do have less hope for their human counterparts though. But we'll get there!

You are right Wollhexe. I know that there have been recent incidents with birds and planes but if you consider the number of birds and planes that are in the sky daily, they do manage to avoid them for the most part.

it was one of those blurbs on the news, that can cause so much damage. they said several scientists had been caught fudging the numbers. apparently several memos were found. of course they didnt say which scientists, or how many, or specifically which science. just "several scientists".

so of course my husband says what he always says "see, its all bull". its really scary to hear stuff like that. it was on cbs news, at 6. new york

a simple sentence like that, can throw us back centuries. pisses me off.

I saw something about it on tonight's news. Some emails indicate that some scientists had withheld some test results that didn't support the theory that climate change was caused by/worsened by the actions of humans. Those test results were inconclusive or did not strongly argue for human causes for climate change. Some emails look like efforts might have been made to spin the data.

Here is a NY Times article that discusses the issue: view link
