200 POST WOULD PUT US OVER THE TOP!
Of cousre, this is for my friend, Elaine. : )
Thanks Eric, this is a great thread......
Not so, great, Elaine. Mea Culpa! (Latin for... my fault!) Our last thread, in which you inspired moi, was a heck of a lot better than this one. Thta's what sent us soaring to number one--not I. That's right, Elaine. You inspired that little miracle! Without your inspiration it, would have never happened, dear lady. And that's what no one seems to understand! You are the leader of this group, and you're a damn good one! You just don't appreciate you own gifts, dearest one! ;-)
Your friend,
Eric
P.S. Why am I being so gung ho, dear lady? Well actually it's quite simple. This is the time of year when most people become severely depressed. It is partly due to the fact that the days our getting much shorter and their serotonin levels in their prefrontly cortex of their brains gets lower and lower. What happens is that mono-amine-oxidase, starts overproducing in everyones bodies, thus producing more melatonin, a neuro-hormone which essentially slows down everyone's metabolism. In most people it just causes more tiredness. But for a few unlucky few such as me, it causes major depressive psychosis. And ther is no real treatment for it, because I'll tell you why. And the gets more to the heart of the issue. Any psychological process ( i.e emotions) will in time overcome any psycho-topic medication. And the depression that most people fall into is mostly due to the traumatic memories form their formative years of the so-called "Holiday Season". Most adults hate Thanksgiving and Christmas because they perceive it of quintessential instantiation of hypocrisy! They go through the motions, especially if they have children and grandchildren but the hearts are not really in it.
So, I'm trying to offer an alternative to my friends in this group. If your mind and spirit are in the right place, you don't have to go through this suffering anymore. It can always be your favorite time of year, if you have the will power to choose it. I hope that sorta answers you question dear lady.
But, whether or not we like it, just by virtue of being a member of this group, we have idealistically committed ourselves to ste set of moral principles and ideas. That's what makes us true "Rockers" ;-)
