Thanksgiving!

Is it weird to ask people to be on time if you have spent hours preparing a wonderful meal?
Last year I asked everyone to show up after 1;30PM....many didn't show up until after 5PM..My mother had the nerve to show up after 7PM.....I put the food away and offered them coffee and dessert....
They were upset and didn't show up for Xmas...
This year if they are late I'm putting everything away...
Taking my daughter to the movies and leaving a sign on the front door...
"The turkeys are gone....they went to the movies!"

Maybe use show up between certain hours could work...after 1:30 -- before 2:00!!

Or you could specify, "Dinner will be served promptly at 1:30PM. Stragglers will be out of luck." What your friends and family did to you was the heights of rudeness.
