I've finished 2 mysteries lately, both cozies. The first was the first in the Royal Spyness series by Rhys Bowen. I'd read and enjoyed the third installment a few weeks ago, and it was fun to go back and see how the series began. This one was just as good.
The second one was Ghost At Work by Carolyn Hart. The author's name seems so familiar to me, and although none of her mysteries listed ring a bell, I'm sure I must have read one or 2. This is apparently the first of a new series for her, introducing a character named Bailey Ruth. The story begins in Heaven, where Bailey Ruth and her husband have been for a long time since dying in a boating accident. Bailey is assigned to the Department of Good Intentions and sent to earth (as a ghost) to solve a murder. Bailey is an amusing character and the idea of a mystery-solving ghost is different. But I just couldn't get into it; about halfway through I gave up and skipped to the end to see "whodunit."
I just got a notice today that the Patrick Swayze autobiography is waiting for me at the library, so I'm headed over later to pick that up.

I like the Lady Georgie mysteries by Rhys Bowen, too, alagal! The Carolyn Hart premise sounds wonderful and I'm sorry to hear it didn't seem to live up to the promise. I've read a few Hart mysteries, but they're not memorable enough to stay with me. I DID finish them, though - and I don't bother to finish bad books!
