Congress moves left

Democrat Bill Owens has won in New York's 23rd District. A Yankee bastion of pre-Civil War Republicanism.

Those Southern carpet baggers and Palin, who stumped for the evangelical right winger they wanted over the chosen candidate -- who had a good chance of winning, until attacked by the far right -- let's hope learned a lesson.

Miss Scozzafva was picked by the local GOP because they felt she could win, reflected the people's attitudes and wishes in that area -- and could prevail over a Democratic candidate. Then up come the right wingers with their ideological rants, anti this, anti that, the crusade sounding like Limbaugh, Hannity and the rest of the ranting heads -- and their candidate lost. Maybe they learned that their brand of nonsense doesn't fly in all parts of the country. One of the Southern right wingers who was going up to stump for their neo con boy, although I heard him at length, his name escapes me for his accent was so thick it was hard to understand him.

Somehow, I doubt the lesson will stick, though.

Probably gloating that Reptiles picked up 2 governorships,, and blaming the loss on the moderate who was chased out of the race (she polled more votes than the difference between Representative-elect Owens and Hoffman (who doesn't live in the district and refused to move to the district during the campaign)).

To give them credit, N.J. was a lose-lose situation. Seems the people chose the devil they didn't know.

Carpet baggers got swept out. And so did an unpopular NJ governor of a scandal ridden administration.

All works as it should.

I don't know what Limpwrist is saying, but Sarah is taking credit on Facebook at the Palinbots are eating it up. Heck their even giving her credit for the defeat of Question #1 in Maine.

I hope the religous right and the far right conservatives continue in their efforts to purge the republican party of its middle of the roaders and non ideologues. We could see a significant amount of growth in the democratic party.

Go gett em Palin and company!

While the dems had majority supporting them, they weren't able get the out to vote,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I hope they've learned their lesson. You have gain the support and then you have to get them to the polling place. Failure in either part = election loss.

I hear they're already going after Charlie Christ and supporting the Conservative Party candidate for the Florida Senate seat! Oh, and in Florida you can now officially register with the "Tea Party"! view link
