If you were going to be stuck on a desert island..
... which 5 books, movies, people and foods would you take along? (You get to pick 5 from each group)
Ohhhhh.....
Books - my Bible & a mix of Janet Evanovich & Nicholas Sparks books.
Movies - "Wild Hogs", "Bridges of Madison County", "Unfaithful", "My Cousin Vinny" & "Christmas Vacation".
People - my daughter, my son, my grandson, my Mom, my friend Judy Parker (she has a wonderful sense of humor & makes me laugh!)
Food - Chinese food, mexican food, seafood, steak, vegatables.
You packed well, Too; first choice - all Chinese food, second choice - all Mexican food, etc. LOL Works for me.
Hmmm...
Books - Lord of the Rings trilogy, Our Choice, The God Delusion, a History of the World & a new murder mystery.
Movies - Farenheit 451, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Fiddler on the Roof, Independence Day and a dinosaur history series.
People - My 2 daughters and their significant others (hey, I'm not stupid), and my precious granddaughter.
Food - Perfect steaks, potatoes, green veggies, butter and flour.
Roomy island with electricity, huh?
Books: Ummmmmmmm, on a desert island? Something that could be read over and over again. A couple of the Darkover books, perhaps the Darkover omnibus book "The Forbidden Circle" or the standalone "Exile's Song", "The Incarnations of Immortality" boxed set, "The Masks of God" set, maybe a novel by J.D. Robb.
Foods: Trickier - a huge bin of my supplements (you don't want to know), a Dunkin' Donuts Coffee franchise, seafood of all kinds - or do we get that off the beach? - Asian foods (Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Thai, etc.) and Mexican foods - plus my Magic Bullet.
Movies: Short Circuit, Ghost, severals sets of series by Ken Burns - most anything.
People: My daughter and her family, my best friend and her husband, my brother and his family - it is getting crowded now. I hope they brought more food...
Books: Complete works of Shakespeare, The Grapes of Wrath, King James Bible, unabridged dictionary, Bartlett's (1951 edition)
Movies: Gone with the Wind, The Quiet, Dr. Zhivago, North by Northwest, The Sound of Music
People: My three children, deceased father and grandmother
Foods: Blackberries, apples, lettuce, walnuts, cheese
I'd swap all the things you all brought there for a boat to get the heck out of there. lol
Who are you swapping with? :^)
LOL....Well the question was "IF you were going to be stuck on an Island" I assume that someone was going to put me there, because I sure wouldn't go on my own, so I'd have made a deal with whoever was going to put me there.........If you don't like that answer then I guess I'll have to tell you I flagged down a passing ship, while you all were reading and eating. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, unless I think of a better one. LOL
Books - 5 copies of War & Peace for fire starters
Movies - 5 of the best home movies of my family - I have copies so I could use the tape as binding
Foods - beans, fruit, vegetables, supplements, CHOCOLATE - all canned
People - Just one - Tom Hanks - He's done it before
Books- all the nerd series books
Movies-Once Around, Last Holiday, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, (the pressure..I can't think of anymore)I NEED to be on a dessert island:)
Food-SUSHI, fruit, veggies, perhaps a little steak & LOTS of drinking water
People- Anyone smart enough to get word to my family & friends, so they can visit, perhaps 1 REALLY HOT, sensuous, considerate loving man to take care of all my needs ;-)
Books --- The books would be all be thick, technical reference books (that would include someting on building BOATS) --
Movies---I would not want any movies
People --- Four gorgeous women and an eunuch who was a master ships carpenter -
