Why Old Dogs are the Best Dogs

From another list that I am on - a wonderful article

The last word: Why old dogs are the best dogs
They can be eccentric, slow afoot, even grouchy. But dogs live out their final days, says The Washington Post’s Gene Weingarten, with a humility and grace we all could learn from.

I agree in principle. But what of the practical? If I cannot at least approximate the time of our respective demise, Then I would have a problem. A problem that I am having now.

This is a wonderful essay! Thank you for the link. My sweet Shiloh is 13 now--her arthritis has slowed her down, and her cancer is taking her from me. But she still enjoys a slow walk around the yard, a roll in the grass, a ride in the car...as long as she has more good days than bad, I'm thankful to have her in my life. She will forever be in my heart.

It was a wonderful article. Thank you. My Yukon is 14 and still loves his walks, though shorter now. I'm 65, and we're growing old together. He is still young spirited, like his mom, and always will be, the two of us.
