Smoke Jumpers Trail 11-3-09

Don't ask me the reason for the title--I can only guess. We hiked 5 miles within Anchorage--all flat and wooded. No snow on the trail, but some frosty sections. Pictures in reply, but here's the view from the trailhead parking lot...

Beautiful views, definitely looks chilly. Is one of these puppies yours?

Yes, it was about 20 degrees, cold enough to chill my fingertips for the whole 5 miles. The dogs belong to friends.

Lovely stream pics. In your top pic, the stream leads you deeper and deeper into the picture.

Wow! You've got a lot of ice on the streams already. Looks like a great place to hike. Bill
