Pessimistic vs. Optimistic

Are you more of one than the other? Which of these 2 thinkings can hurt one more?

Optimist here..even whe I have a boo day, there is always a glimmer of hope that something will come along. I have a girlfriend who complains all the time and has everything most woman would want, a good husband, nice job ready to retire nice home and she is never happy and sometimes I wonder I must be doing something wrong..LOL I don;'t think we live either way all the time...

Optimist here - despite the occasional worry. I believe this: change is inevitable, and so if I am enjoying life, I want to relish every moment. Then if things take a turn for the worse, I know it shall pass - everything and everyone does. I choose to think positively about it. I believe in my ability to adapt.

I am pleased with the positivity of you all my friends; it is certainly necessary.I have been trying to be more optimistic myself because I have experienced the gains from this. You have to position yourself in an environment where this will take root.
I am however always conscious that some people don't look for anything good - always expecting nothing but trouble while on the other hand some people tend to think that everything is good. Both kinds of thinking can hurt. Double-checking and questioning ( even if it causes delays ) are good.

I'm quietly happy with my daily life and plans for my future but I'm a realist when it comes to new events I have already evaluated from my past experiences ie I know what that door to door salesman is really selling (: Do you call that cynical or pessimistic?

I'm very much the optimist. I've had my challenges and stumbling blocks like we all have, but I still have faith in God, and still maintain perhaps an idealistic belief in the goodness of man. Life is great, and I look forward to exploring new horizons for as long as I live.
