Pedro looking at Boston?

Pedro only had a one season contract with Phillies, do you think he's trying to come back to Boston? Here's comments from his press conference at Yankee Stadium that took place an hour ago......

"I'm pretty sure that every Boston fan out there can feel proud that I'm going to try and beat the Yankees and I'm going to give just the same effort I always did for them. They're special fans and they will always have my respect."

"I know they don't like the Yankees to win, not even in Nintendo games."

He also said that he still considers himself a Bostonian and that he treasures his relationship with Red Sox fans.

Awww.. And Pedro is so in the hearts of Red Sox Nation too. I'll never forget the tribute paid to him at Fenway in 2006 when he came to play as a Mets pitcher. Video clips of his pitching and "You Must Love Me" played from Evita, so appropriate a song for him. (I also remember that he couldn't even pitch after that!;o) And who else flashes through our minds when we hear the names Don Zimmer and Grady Little?
I'm glad we have another chance to see him play the Yankees tonight - and may he channel the "Red Sox Pedro" of his peak days!

Wouldn't it be great if somehow Pedro could make it back to the Red Sox for his final year(s)? No chance of course of that happening but I know that all Red Sox fans wish that it could. I know that we'll all be watching tonight's game hoping that he can help the Phillies beat the Yankees. Go Pedro!

His agent talked to the Sox at the beginning of last season and they weren't interested, instead going with Smoltz and Penny. Glad he's showing them what they missed! Let's send lots of Red Sox karma his way tonight!!!

No doubt, that Pedro is still a effective pitcher. I do think he is approaching the" over the hill gang". Not exactly what the Sox are looking for at this point. We have a good farm system to cultivate.
