I called a couple places today.....one place said 75.00 and up...depending on how dirty it is........not sure just what the price would be.

The other place I called said 150.00 because I drive a Tahoe(the big job)He said they would clean everything....inside and out...shampoo carpets clean wheels...vac...even clean the engin.....soooooooooooooo

What does this sound like to you guys......it seems really high to me...but it is a really big SUV

I had my Lincoln done by a friend who is in the business and it cost me $125.00...usual price was $150.00, so it sounds about right, Annie. I got a complete inside cleaning, wash and wax the outside.

VBG - I took my very grubby Honda CRS to Genie Car Wash in Austin several weeks ago. It was a grey drizzly day and the employees at the car wash were just standing around twiddling their thumbs. When I got to the area where you tell them what you want done, I told them I just wanted the car cleaned inside, vaccuumed and shampooed. The manager gave me a price for that, then told me that if I would like the car detailed, handwaxed, the whole 9 yards, he would only charge $100. I snapped that deal right up!

Next time my car needs cleaning inside and out, I'll wait for a rainy day, then go to the car wash. If it rains, they usually give a 48 hour raincheck - if not, I can always go to one of those automatic drive through car washes when the weather clears up!

I could use my carpets shampooed in the car, wouldn't hurt the seats & a good hand rubbed wax job too!
But, I don't see it happening by me.

Neener, neener, neener, I'm driving a 2010 Nissan Sentra with only 1,000 miles on it......it hasn't had TIME to get dirty!

VBG - just give it time!! Of course, my Honda goes to dog shows, takes my dogs to the vet, carries plants from the garden center, etc. etc. It didn't have a chance! A very handy little car!

My mostly dirt and often muddy roads and the fact that it is always full of sand from my excursions to the beach means that my car needs scrubbing outside and in every week. It is a Sunay afternoon ritual for me to get out the hose and a dustpan and brush and get to it. I (usually) enjoy the job and it costs me nothing at all except time! Engine cleans I don't do. Every six months or so it gets done. Can't remember the cost. It has to be done so it has to be paid for. End of story.
