The view from above

If you could be transformed into a butterfly, or the bird of your choice, with the guarantee that you would return to human form, which would you choose and where in the world would you prefer to make your "lofty" observations?

Hmm - if I were an Eagle, I'd eat raw fish and I don't do raw fish!!

I'd probably be a mockingbird - they are really smart birds - I'd probably hang out around the Highland Lakes in Texas.

I would like to be a hummingbird in a South American rain forest, sipping from an orchid, beating my wings thousands of times a second, and weighing less than a nickel. That would be cool.

LOL Z. Didn't know you were a poet. ;-)

I'm not crazy about worms or raw fish, unless it's sushi. But...as a former Minnesotan, I pick a loon, an aquatic bird, so I could float around on a placid lake in northern MN, forest all around me, my mate by my side. Loons share nesting and incubation duties and mate for long periods of time. Both males and females have the same plumage, unlike many other birds where the male is showier. I love hearing a loons calling on a still night at the lake. :-)

I'd have to be an eagle. Soaring over the Rocky Mountains and Grand Canyon. A majestic bird seeing majestic sights.
