I love beignets. Can't seem to find a bakery or coffee shop here that makes them. I did find something similar at Walmart bakery once, I brought home and heated them in my toaster oven and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Good, but not the same!
Do you have an easy recipe? Someone said use biscuit dough, deep fried?

I saw Paula Dean make fried donuts with ready to bake biscuits (Pillsbury), she cut a hole in the center with a small cookie cutter (or shot glass) and deep fried them. I guess you could make a beignet similarly?
Yesterday, I actually deep fried plantain chips for the very first time.

Sorry Jimmy, deep fried refrigerator biscuits may be a lot of things, including good, but they're not beignets...
