Health Care

Which country would you use as a model to improve the U.S.A.'s health care system?
I would use France's, which has government financed but not government run also it's the number one rated system in the world..
The link below will give you some info about France's health care system

Thanks for posting EP! Excellent article. Just shows how archaic (SP) our system is.. Our lawmakers need to seriously look at this system. We are no longer the "role model" to the world.

All the ranting about "socialism", "government run" health care, 'rationing', is sickening. This is coming from million dollar earning right wing talking heads, day in day out, scaring the daylights out of poor schmucks who cannot afford premiums at all if their employer didn't pay them. And out of Medicare recipients, telling them that universal health care will mean severely curtailed services under Medicare and 'death panels' to see they are knocked off, quick.

A crying shame. The numbers who die each year, 40,000 plus the estimate, means nothing to some. "I've got mine. You can drop dead for all I care."

France is looking better and better.

Thanks GG: Exactly the answer I needed to respond to my cousin who said exactly what your 1st paragraph said. I was too fed up to find the right words when I needed them. Much thanx!!

What's with this right or left stuff????? I just don't want the gov telling me when and where I can see a dr. I also don't want the gov telling the dr how to treat me.

That's the problem annie. That's what the right wingers want you to believe. None of it is true or can be verified.

do you want your insurance companies or corporate companies telling us like they do now and not paying for annuals or certain test?or if you have a precondition.would they cover that without raising rates?how many have insurance in this country?why is the far right blocking this?cost?1.3 trillion for 10 years, hmmm i can see where this country has pissed away more away on wars, welfare to countrys-foriegn aid,and tax breaks for the wealthier outfits and indeviduals in this country.even Warren Buffett scoffed at Bush II 's tax breaks back then.
