Eons Assistant

I used the Composer in Mozilla.org's SeaMonkey to make a widget that helped me add more group links to the My Eons page. I call it Eons Assistant. To use it you paste the code into a widget box using Add in your widgets section.

Here's an image of it : -

For those of you who like to see the code I'm presenting it here.

MrTSauce uploaded a file with the code (look for "Eons Assistant 1 code" ) So, folks can go to that file to copy the code and not have to worry about the added line breaks. Thanks, MrTSauce! Hmmm, Eons Assistant 1 . . . suggests there is more to come - Oh, boy!

I've added an "Eons Assistant" to my Profile. But, I'll have to admit, I pasted the code into the source view of Kompozer and used it to make the changes!

HonestJohn, I guess that could be another solution to try when posting code!

the codes/filters for eons needs to be longer than 39, anytime you have 39 spaces, eons insert a line break on number 40, that breaks urls, maybe tallbob can fix that, ?

Here's what tallbob said about it : -
Sorry - the spaces are necessary to prevent unwanted visual artifacts (and total layout breakage in some versions of IE) if/when a word is too wide to fit on one line. On our side (the server-side), we have no sure way to predict the actual rendered width of a word, so we limit the number of contiguous non-whitespace characters.

That makes sense, she said with a quizzical look on her face. Actually it does when I saw "total layout breakage in some versions of IE", LOL. Wish I'd known this when I started The Studio. I would have named it - the-stu Ooops, that wouldn't work either because of the code that would be needed on each side of the URL. Oh, well!

Thanks for giving us Tallbob's reply about the reason the spaces are necessary, MrTSauce.

And, Tallbob, if you drop by, thanks for the info.
