Kelly, the protector of her poms
Pewter, Sherry's pom, has been staying with me while his Mom is on a trip. Pewter might weigh as much as 5 lbs.He has been having a ball playing with Honey. Last night, he and Honey were rolling around the room playing pommy games. Pewter was on top of Honey wooling her around -they both were having fun, but Kelly Collie felt that her Honeybun was being roughed up too much.
As I watched, Kelly walked over to them, and laid down side by side with Honey so that Honey's body was touching Kelly. Kelly never snarled, lifted a lip or any of that, but Pewter got the message that Kelly thought he was being to rough on Kelly's Honeybun.
Pewter got up and walked away and sat down and looked at Kelly. I'll always wonder what silent communication passed between them.
