I'm glad I found this group!
Eventhough I used to take care of my Mother after she had her first stroke, we both lived in Florida. My sister took over her care here in California as I have a permanent back injury, but my sister recently went to hospital and so my Mother is back with me.
We both have some help, but I tell my Mother I am a senior now we have to remind each other of 'stuff'. My goodness I forget my medication sometimes and I have more pain than she does. I don't want her to think it is a difficult job so I give her lots of love and feel lucky I still have her with me. She is 85 and I am in my 60's.
