You are so right. Robert Wagner is an excellent choice to play Tony's dad. I really enjoy this show.
What is interesting is that Micheal Weatherly (Tony) played Robert Wagner in the tv movied based on the biography of Natalie Wood!
NCIS is excelling this year and Robert Wagner will be an interesting addition for however many episodes he's in.
That is a very interesting tidbit skinnyninny! I saw the TV movie, but that was quite awhile ago!

My husband watches this show with me and when I mentioned Robert Wagner being Tony's dad, his comment was,"Shouldn't he be his granddad?" What do you think?
THAT IS GREAT CASTING. I CAN SEE THOSE TOO PLAYING REALLY GOOD OFF EACH OTHER, AND THEY DO LOOK A LITTLE ALIKE. I THINK ROBERT WAGNOR WILL BE THE RIGHT AGE.
I GREATLY ENJOYED THE EPISODE WHERE THEY HAD GIBBS DAD ON IT AND HOPE THEY HAVE ANOTHER EPIODE WITH HIM.
And here I was all the time hoping they would get rid of Tony, now we get his dad. Maybe Wagner will take him down a notch. I simply can't abide "smart-a$$e$" on TV Shows. Wishing every week that Gibbs would use a 2x4 when he slaps DeNozzo upside the head. And the "probie" title he still uses on McGee has worn out its usefulness and cuteness.

NCIS just wouldn't be the same without Tony. After all he did mastermind the plan to save Ziva from the terrorists! He is just sarcastic. That is Tony. But he has a huge heart and the team would be lost without him! Really!
