Waking up
Can't get out of bed
Boss, co-workers, deadlines
Making demands I just can't fulfil
"Be grateful you have a job" (I AM)
Comes the universal refrain
But daily the screws wind tighter
I scream soundlessly inside
Weekends, freedom?

It did & is still doing so but also have some underlying health issues which of course I can't see the doctor about until tomorrow. Great, first day back at work & will have to take an extended lunch!
