My kid's more conservative than your kid ...

The moderate (R) contender for upper NYS House Race has bowed out to extremist conservativism.

Newt Gingrich claims it's a stupid move that will keep Pelosi (D-CA) in power forever.

The moderates are losing to the conservatives in the Republican Party -- is this a good thing or a bad thing?

It sure will be interesting to see. Will the Moderates defect or not vote because of the Palinbots? Will they vote for the moderate, even though she's suspended her campaign? Will the Democrat come from behind in the polls win? Stay tuned -- this will be interesting to watch.

The moderates aren't losing to the conservatives, they're losing to the right wing nuts and Palinbots.

This could turn out to be referendum on the Tea Partying, Faux News watching crowd.

It doesn't matter who wins in the 23rd; the Republican party is in open civil (or un-civil) war. The Right Wing will enforce ideological purity or burn the GOP to the ground.

Winner: Democrats!

Dede Sczzafava (R-NY) backed out of the race leaving no Republican Candidate, only the Conservative Hoffman and the Democrat Bill Owens.

Rep. Boehner then quickly switched his endorsement to Hoffman ... but Ms. Sczzafava endorsed her Democratic opponent Mr. Owens. You can still hear Boehner screaming if you turn your TV down ...

When the kooks like Palin and her ilk get done taking over the GOP it'll as big as the Libertarin party and equally as effective. I'm looking forward to that day. It really won't too long.

As I was going through some possessions of my deceased mother, I ran across an old LOOK magazine dated July 16, 1963. Two of the lead articles were "Radical Right Invades the GOP" and "How will the Negro's Fight End?" There is nothing new under the sun. The Grand Ole Party is still fighting the radical right and the election of an African American president has..... "set off an emotional charge that has shocked a complacent nation (....it has sparked the reality of the stubborn, complex soical problem most Americans do not yet understand but can, (once again), no longer avoid)". In the article about the GOP it said the "new right shows its greatest strength in the West and the South." The artcle went on to say '"It's a real raid", says a ranking member of the GOP central committee in one Rocky Mountain state. They're grabbing for control of the party. Though a wealthy and conservative businessman, this Republican is one of many who fear to speak of the problem in public. "I don't want to be attacked as a Communist." '
