This is no big surprise, most of the solar cells are also being made overseas. It is a big joke when they talk about these high paying jobs in the green sector. What they are doing is buying high tech stuff overseas and having it be put up by illegals with the Gore cult fat cats counting their new found fortune while Americans pay more for electricity and higher taxes. Unless the American people wake up, we will end up in "Obamaville" tents waiting for our next government handout.

I am not sure why this is hard to understand. We have never embraced green technology so why would we expect it to be US based?

Possibly true - BUT the 'stimulus' money (TAXPAYER dollars) was supposedly going to be spent for the creation of jobs in the U.S. Obambi said so...of course, that may be the problem right there.

Green jobs Schmeen jobs. Until this stupid green technology can stand on it's own with no government subsidy, it's a sham.
You're absolutely right mejk in your assessment of 0bamaville. Turning America into a third world economy is the whole point of this green push. It was originally called "sustainability". There was a book published in the 90's called either "The Greening" or "The Greening of America". I used to have it, I might have gotten rid of it when I purged my bookcases several years ago, I think that was the book that layed out a lot of that sustainability stuff. Anyway, it's all UN generated.

Obama apologists? Sorry, it doesn't apply to me. I do not support either the democratic or republican parties and their proven inept abilities to do what is right for America. As for the stimulus policy, I don't recall any content or statement that said that the jobs created by the stimulus dollars would be 100% US based. Matter of fact, during the debate of the initial stimulus relief, which was to be directed at US infrastructure only, it was widely debated that the materials to be used for infrastructure rebuilding would come from other countries. And since the US has been dumping its ability to manufacture anything since the 70's, how can anyone assume that we have the US manufacturing jobs to pay stimulus dollars to?

Green is real.....I work in a field that is closely affiliated with many green emphasis.....
Having said that, the WH appraoch may or may not be real.....
I have seen the real thing.....spray-in insulation made from soybean for example.....renewable and effective.....and saves the homeowner money in heating/cooling costs.....that is real.....
The media blows this WAY-Y-Y-Y-Y out of proporation, but just because of that, don't discount green things.....some are real.....not all to be sure, but some.....
A practical green thing for all.....Home Depot among others, offers the curly tube light bulbs for a low price now.....they use less energy, help the environment, etc., and basically SAVE THE HOMEOWNER MONEY.....while helping the environment.....THAT to me is green.....

you aerright denmark & spain have these 200 million dolar companies exporting solar technology & services all around . My question where the heck is america in this market. as a chauvinist i would not be surprised if the technology was initially developed here.(?) Solar is a tip of the ice berg and may be the least effective. never the les where is our innovation?

I just remember a "green" engineering firm which has doubled its gross profit s every ear for the past 26 years. right in N.H. what they do is design a way to take basically exhaust and reuse it as fuel in manufacturing or large business centers. I ran into them at a seminar on power plants for the paper industry.
