................when I met my Teri at college, she was studying Ornamental Horticulture cause she dreamed of having a ornamental plant nursery. I was in fine arts in pottery, as I dreamed of being a different kind of artist from all in my family of artistic peoples. We had fallen in lovenlust within a week of meeting, and all through our college courses to graduation, I would always pick a rose from the rose garden near the fine arts department while headed to meet her for lunch for all the two and half years until our graduation, which she would lay on the dash of our little bright yellow VW super bug and they would dry out in the hot sunlight and she would save then and put them in a big popourri bowl on the table at home, and later put inside the hundreds of little heart shaped sachets she made all through our 28 years of marriage. When we moved here to the much drier Nevada high desert 21 years ago, roses seemed to hard to get started, and a neighbor gave me a handful of hollyhock seeds in 88 which I planted out front here to give my Teri some of that wonderful bright colored flowers she so loved..............
..................they eventually grew all over our lot around the house, and are very colorful every year. Since she has passed, their color reminds me of her loving ways and how I miss her........
