gave my ring to a boyfriend and never got it back... dang. but i have my high school sweethearts, and we're still in touch, but he has told me he doesn't want it back.
I never found mine after my first marriage break up. Also missing were my 4 yearbooks. I don't know how, either my first ex did something with them or they just got lost in the shuffle. The ring was 24 Karat gold and heavy so I wonder what it would be worth now??
When my older brother was killed in a automobile accident and my mom gave me his ring. We went to the same Catholic High School in Buffalo, NY so mom thought it best that I got it. He graduated two years before me. The only difference is the date on the side, he graduated in '69 and I in '71.

I lost my ring on a road trip. I took it off my finger to wash my hands with a bar of soap in a restroom at a gas station..... when I was like 100 miles away I noticed it gone. :( Looked up the gas station somehow, don't remember, and called but they said no, they hadn't found any ring. That's where I lost my birthstone too.
I haven't given up faith when I read articles of stories like the one I posted, that some nice person will maybe think I miss it and hunt it down. I do have it inscribed.
My ring was stolen during a break-in when I was in college, along with a lot of costume jewelry. I wish I still had it!
I stupidly removed my rings (wedding, engagement and anniversary - attached together) to apply lotion at the health club. On the way to work I realized I left them hanging in the locker. I called to have them check and they were already gone. I swam at 6:00 in the morning, used the same locker always, the same people always there. Knew it had to be someone who I saw daily who walked off with the rings. Put up signs offering reward, no questions asked, for the return. Finally reported it to insurace and later replaced them with much larger diamonds, but not the same. I rarely wore them since I am in the water so much. Lost my husband 2 years ago. It makes me very sad to know I do not have my original rings. I can only hope that the person who stole them, as Karma works it's way, gets what their Karma brings them in exchange for those rings.
I still have mine which is amazing since I do believe a cleaning person once stole a bunch of stuff from my house. I didn't have much but she took anything that was decent.
Mine was stolen in college too, along with an emerald ring. I would love to replace it. There was nothing unique about it from any of my classmates', but the design was unique to my high school. It had been traditional for decades. However, over the past couple of decades it was dropped for the less expensive generic ones you can get at WalMart and anyplace else that sells class rings. I've never tried to find out if it could be special ordered, but doubt if I could afford it anyway. Makes me sad.
Still have mine--black onyx with mother-of-pearl inlay, we thought that was sooooo cool. Guess no one else thought so since I still have it and the birthstone I got when I was 15, peridot. Actually I still have my Mother's high school ring. It's probably because I don't wear them, they are a bit snug these days....
Mine is at the bottom of False River, La. probably under 6 ft. of mud.
My parents couldn't afford to buy us rings and yearbooks. We all had jobs by 14, so it was up to us to buy our cars, Ins., clothes and whatever. As long as your were in school, rent was free. If you quit school they charged you rent. It all seemed normal to us and we thought our friends were spoiled.
