As Georgia and Diva said.....welcome and I think you will find some really great people here......and we will be here for the holidays as well......a lot of us are alone...and no it isn't easy...but we'll get through it together..(no one will really be alone) You can always find someone here to chat with....in the group or PMs.
This is a wonderful group...and you can always email someone or everyone. I'm working the holidays as usual...emergency departments run 24/7 and so trying to make time for church, family, and the usual traditions of the seasons keeps me quite busy at this time of year. So those of you that are new or aren't so busy...join us here as you can. And be thankful....there are so many "worse" situations in this country and the world.

Welcome newbies......I would also claim to be alone, but I seem to have acquired a persistent, persnickety shadow.......
I will spend Christmas with my family, but I am just not ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas to be here - heck - I'm not even ready for Labor Day and Halloween and those days have come and gone!
I may not decorate this year - I have two Franklin Mint trees with Poms, and the other with shelties that I usually put up - don't know if I'll even do that this year - guess I'm in a Bah Humbug sort of mood right now.....
Will spend Thanksgiving cooking and cleaning with my mother. Christmas will be a road trip to and from Missouri to see my brother. The rest of my family goes to Flagstaff and Kingman, AZ every holiday. Mostly it will be down time from studying but will be great.
The persnickety shadow will be around....so to one and all check in anytime there will always be someone on to visit and chat with during the holidays...
